Brightplus moves on to the next phase of Business Finland’s Young Innovative Company Programme

Brightplus is excited to announce that it has received further funding from Business Finland to support the scaling of Brightplus business and BrightBio platform further into global markets.

Business Finland’s Young Innovative Company funding programme accelerates the global growth of the most ambitious, rapidly growing startups in Finland. Brightplus entered the competitive three-phase funding programme in September 2019 with its green chemistry and bioeconomy principles based BrightBio technology platform.

Business Finland set ambitious goals for the company’s growth for the first phase. Brightplus was successful in achieving its first phase goals and showed great potential for further international growth, which enabled the company to jump to the next phase. In addition to rapid growth potential, Business Finland took into consideration company’s business opportunities, great financial status, and its high suitability as an international investment target.

Continuing in the program allows Brightplus to put higher emphasis, especially, on international sales, and welcome solid strategic investments for the next big leap across the global markets.

Brightplus’ project falls under Business Finland’s Bio & Circular Finland program. The program supports the development of competitive bio and circular economy solutions and ecosystems that offer solutions to global environmental challenges and hold potential for significant global markets. The project aims to increase the exports of bio and circular economy solutions in order for Finnish solutions to be adopted in international markets. The program directs export activities particularly for the plastic and packaging industries.
